One arm dumbbell push jerk
The one arm dumbbell push jerk is an explosive power exercise that’s great for developing all round body strength and power. By using one arm at a time, the push jerk is made much harder because your dominant arm can’t take over and your core has to work to stabilise the weight above the head.
As with the barbell push jerk, the key is to use the legs to drive the weight above the head whilst dropping your body and locking your arms simultaneously.
